The school photography company Lifetouch is facing a public backlash and boycotts due to its ownership by Apollo Global Management, which has ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Online sleuths and social media posts have linked Lifetouch to the Epstein files, raising concerns about the privacy of children's images. Apollo Global Management acquired Shutterfly, Lifetouch's parent company, in 2019, shortly after Epstein's death.

The controversy stems from Apollo's former CEO, Leon Black, who paid Epstein millions for advice. While Lifetouch denies any wrongdoing and states it is not named in the Epstein files, several US school districts have canceled or paused contracts with the company due to parental concerns.

The company emphasizes its data privacy measures and compliance with regulations, but the "perception of association" with Epstein continues to impact its reputation.
