Roku reported strong financial results for 2024, with total revenue reaching $4.1 billion, an 18% year-over-year increase.

The company's platform business, which includes advertising and streaming distribution, saw an 18% jump to $3.5 billion. Advertising revenue specifically outpaced other streams in the last quarter, driven by enhanced programmatic platform relationships and increased ad supply on Roku's home screens.

Roku also expanded its user base, adding 9.8 million streaming accounts in 2024. The average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by 12% to $41.49.

The company highlighted its strategy of demand diversification, including a self-serve ad platform and expanded home screen ad inventory for various brand verticals, aiming to reduce reliance on the media and entertainment sector.
