Delmonico's Hospitality Group plans a second Manhattan location for its legendary steakhouse by 2027, while fast-casual chain Raising Cane's prepares to open its 1,000th unit in Hollywood, signaling significant expansion for both restaurant concepts.
Delmonico's, founded in 1827, will open an 11,000-square-foot restaurant in midtown, driven by overcapacity and high corporate demand at its financial district location. Current owner Dennis Turcinovic, who acquired the Beaver Street location in 2023, aims to cater to its Midtown client base.
Adam Plitt, formerly of Le Bernardin, joins as executive chef, with Glen & Co. handling design.
The menu will remain "steak driven." Meanwhile, Raising Cane's, led by Co-CEO Todd Graves, is opening its 1,000th unit on Hollywood Boulevard, a flagship location featuring massive LED screens and a 7-foot golden Cane III statue. The chain, which surpassed KFC in sales in fiscal 2024 with nearly $5 billion from 828 units, plans to add 100 restaurants this year and aims for 1,600 domestic units, with further expansion into London and Mexico.
Nine additional LA-area Raising Cane's locations are scheduled to open this year, with eight more in development for 2027-2028.
