Bankruptcy Revival · Coupon Strategy · Home Retail · Omnichannel
The new Bed Bath & Beyond Home, operating under Beyond Inc., opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Nashville, TN, on August 8, 2025, marking a physical return after its 2023 bankruptcy and confirming it will honor old, expired coupons.
The original Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy in April 2023, subsequently transitioning to an online-only retailer. By mid-2023, Overstock acquired Bed Bath & Beyond's intellectual property.
Later, at the end of 2023, Overstock and Bed Bath & Beyond merged to form Beyond Inc., which then integrated Kirkland's Home intellectual property into its portfolio. This new physical store is the first since the brand's widespread closures.
The Brand House Collective, formerly Kirkland's, partnered with Beyond Inc. to convert dozens of former Kirkland's storefronts into these new Bed Bath & Beyond Home locations.
Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, stated in a press release that this initiative represents "a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families," aiming to deliver "great brands, for any budget, in every room." The decision to accept legacy Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, alongside distributing new ones, directly addresses customer loyalty and aims to rebuild brand connection.
