Will Lewis, the publisher and CEO of the Washington Post, is leaving the newspaper shortly after significant layoffs, with Jeff D’Onofrio appointed as the acting publisher and CEO.
The job cuts hit the newsroom and other departments, and will affect sports, international and other coverage.
The departure comes as Verizon undergoes big changes under its new chief executive, Dan Schulman.
