AI data center startup Nscale has successfully raised $2 billion in a Series C funding round, achieving a robust $14.6 billion valuation.
This significant capital injection underscores strong investor confidence in companies building the foundational infrastructure for the burgeoning AI economy. The round saw participation from major players including Nvidia, Aker ASA, 8090 Industries, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, Lenovo, Linden Advisors, Nokia, and Point72, highlighting broad interest in AI computing capacity.
Nscale plans to leverage this funding to accelerate the development and global expansion of its vertically integrated AI computing platform across Europe, North America, and Asia. The platform combines GPU computing, networking systems, data services, and orchestration software to handle demanding AI workloads.
With existing data centers in the UK, US, Norway, Portugal, and Iceland, Nscale is also exploring an initial public offering (IPO) and has secured key partnerships, including a $14 billion deal with Microsoft and a collaboration with OpenAI for the Stargate data center project.
