Nvidia and Alphabet's VC arms backed British AI startup Synthesia in a $200 million funding round, raising its valuation to $4 billion and nearly doubling its previous valuation from a year ago.
The move follows other investments from the chip giant to improve and expand the delivery of artificial-intelligence services to customers.
The Japanese conglomerate is exploring a further investment as part of the startup’s efforts to raise up to $100 billion.
The companies said they would build AI factories on Nvidia’s computing-platform technology.
