Clay Fuller · Georgia Election · House Majority · Republican
Republican Clay Fuller, endorsed by Donald Trump, secured Georgia's 14th Congressional District seat, previously held by Marjorie Taylor Greene, defeating Democrat Shawn Harris and bolstering the Republican House majority to 218 seats.
Fuller's victory reinforces the Republican hold on a district rated by the Cook Political Report as Georgia's most Republican-leaning. Despite Harris initially leading a 17-candidate field, the district's strong Republican base proved insurmountable.
Fuller will serve the remainder of Greene's term, who resigned in January after clashing with Trump. This win provides a slight increase to the Republican House majority, now standing at 218 Republicans to 214 Democrats, with one independent and two vacancies.
Fuller must run again in party primaries in May and a general election in November to secure a full two-year term.
