A whistleblower complaint concerning Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has reportedly stalled for months, with officials debating its handling.

The complaint, which allegedly involves a separate federal agency and potential executive privilege issues, has been described as not credible by the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) regarding specific allegations, though the truth of other claims remains undetermined. Gabbard's office insists there was no wrongdoing and that the complaint is baseless, stating it has been transmitted to Congressional Intelligence Committees.

The whistleblower's attorney, Andrew Bakaj, has accused Gabbard's office of delaying its transmission to lawmakers. An ODNI official stated Gabbard was not informed of the need for security guidance for months and acted promptly upon learning of the requirement, adding she had no legal obligation to transmit it quickly due to its lack of credibility.

The complaint contains exceptionally sensitive materials requiring special handling.
