China will reduce its tariffs on Scotch whisky to 5% from 10%, which is expected to benefit U.K. whisky exporters by approximately £250 million ($345.35 million) over the next five years.
In cutting a China deal and deriding economic coercion, the prime minister has opted for a “hardball” approach as crucial trade talks loom.
The president warned of 100% tariffs on Canadian goods if the North American neighbor “makes a deal with China.”
