British American Tobacco reported a significant increase in pretax profit for 2025, driven by growing demand for vapor and smokeless products, despite a slight decline in overall revenue.

The bottler said it booked €1.31 billion in pretax profit for 2025, ahead of the €1.13 billion from a year earlier.
The tobacco company said its smoke-free business last year accounted for about 42% of revenue, or nearly $17 billion.
The Abu Dhabi-owned company posted full-year profit of $5.17 billion, supported by double-digit earnings growth in its domestic gas unit.
PG&E’s fourth-quarter net income fell from a year ago but the California power producer boosted the lower end of its projection for 2026 adjusted earnings.
