BAE Systems' Sales Soar 10% to Record £30.7 Billion on Robust European Defense Demand

This strong performance was driven by rising global defense spending and significant new orders, particularly from European governments. Key contracts included a £4.6 billion agreement with the UK Government and Türkiye for 20 Typhoon aircraft, sustaining production and 20,000 UK jobs, and Norway's selection of the Type 26 frigate in a £10 billion deal, marking the UK's largest warship export agreement.

The company also secured a $1.2 billion contract with the US Space Force for missile tracking capabilities and achieved milestones in its Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle program for the US Army, as well as delivering new infantry fighting vehicles to the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Germany. Financially, underlying EBIT and earnings per share both grew by 12%, reflecting strong operational delivery and continued investment in R&D and facilities.

The results underscore BAE Systems' critical role in global defense and its expanding multi-domain capabilities.
