Amazon is laying off 16,000 corporate employees as part of a restructuring effort, following a previous layoff of 14,000 workers in October.

The latest round of cuts comes as the company reported higher quarterly profit, guided for slightly higher revenue in the coming year. The shipper eliminated 48,000 positions in 2025.
The bank will make voting decisions on shareholder proposals without the help of proxy advisers like ISS and instead rely on a new internal system.
